Canadian consumer credit trends in Q2 2025 shows early signs of stabilization in credit performance, particularly for mortgage holders. However, non-mortgage holders, especially younger Canadians, continue to face financial difficulties, with a growing divide in credit health between these groups. In Q2 2025, Canadian consumer credit trends indicate initial signs of stabilizing credit performance, particularly for those with mortgages. Conversely, non-mortgage holders, especially Canadians under 36, continue to experience financial hardship, leading to an increasing disparity in credit health between these two groups.
