  • In November, for a third year, we joined Credit Canada at their special event, "An evening with Mike Holmes", host of "Holmes on Homes".

  • In February, we participated with "The National Credit & Financial Executive' Forum". Topics included "Competing to Win: Leading and Motivating in a Credit and Collection Environment" with Vilis Ozols, MBA, CSP, The Ozols Business Group and "2010 And Beyond - The Economic Road Ahead" with keynote speaker, Peter Hall, Vice President and Chief Economist, Export Development Canada.

  • Our March 2010 dinner meeting was well received with our topic of "Driving Business in the New Normal" with Carol Gray and Ken H. Porter.

  • Our April 2010 meeting, "What is the impact of new and existing regulations on debt collection practices?" shared by our guest speakers, Ged Tillman and Michael Cassone of Harrison Pensa LLP.

  • Our May Event and the final dinner event of the season included the well known, sought after speaker and commentator on wealth management, Patricia Lovett-Reid. Like many of you, we recognized that the opportunity to hear Patricia speak in person was an extremely valuable opportunity. In addition to being the Senior Vice President of TD Waterhouse Canada Inc., she is also one of Canada's leading and respected authorities on personal finance. She holds the designation of Certified Financial Planner and is a regular commentator for Business News Network, CTV, CP24 and the National on CBC.

Patricia is the host of MoneyTalk, a national prime-time television program on personal finance and offers daily market commentaries on AM 740.

We were honoured that she accepted our invitation to speak to our Credit Association members.
