a) Shaun J. Stergios, Manager, Retention & Recovery
Department, TD Financing Services
Shaun worked in the investment and securities industry
for 10 years before joining then VFC Inc. in 2003. From 2003 to 2010 he headed the Legal
& Recovery Department liquidating active and written off debt, including fraud and
other investigative matters. In addition he was the FCAC and Privacy Officer of the
company before its shield changed on 18 January, 2010 to TD Financing Services where his
role changed to Retention & Recovery. The logic to the creation of TD Financing
Services was, where VFC Inc. concerned itself with non-prime finance, TD Financing
Services concerns itself with all of TD Bank Financial Groups indirect lending including
prime and non-prime finance.
When the shield changed, the Retention and Recovery
Department also changed its focus to customer retention (and goodwill initiatives), as
well as collections of active and written off debt.
Shaun is the father of two children, and enjoys the great
outdoors.
b) Richard Dunwoody, President and CEO, Dunwoody Group
Inc.
Richard is a graduate from the University of Western
Ontario. He holds an undergraduate degree in Business as well as Masters Degree in
Theology.
Richard has over 22 years in the industry and an
extensive background in credit and collections. Richard has worked across Canada and the
United States for a number of companies such as F.C.A. (now NCO) and Avco Financial
Services where he was Director of Account Management.
From 2000 through to 2008 Richard led the development of
the agency management system (CollectLink) and bankruptcy system
(InsolvencyLink) for DRN Commerce. In 2007 Richard held the position of Vice
President of First American Corporation in the Default Information Technology group.
Since 2008 Richard has participated in a number of new
ventures in different industries both within and outside the credit and collection
industry. Richard is the President and CEO of The Dunwoody Group.
c) Lisa Friedenberg, Supervisor, Collections, Toronto
Hydro- Electric System Ltd.
Lisa Friedenberg has over 26 plus years of knowledge
and experience with all facets of Collection centre practices. She has worked
with such companies as Sears, HBC, Citigroup and Nordon. Special emphasis
on execution methods that ensured achievement of financial business goals while
inspiring confidence and trust within the units of responsibility. Lisa is cognisant
that her people are her greatest strength and as such they are equal partners in the
successes.
